Henrietta Bryan Lockridge
Henrietta Bryan Lockridge, 92, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 in The Summit. She was the wife of the late Robert Spottswood Lockridge, Sr.
Born August 22, 1917 in Isle of Wight County she was a daughter of the late Richard and Rebie Rose Bryan. She was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School and Phillips Business College. She was a charter member of Timbrook Woman’s Club and an active member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert S. Lockridge, Jr. and wife Maureen of Lynchburg, Richard V. Lockridge and wife Judy of Lebanon; two daughters, Judy L. Warner and husband John of Virginia Beach, Patty L. Bumgarner and husband Kenneth of Amherst; eight grandchildren, Amy L. Charbonneau of Kenosha, WI, Sara L. Powers of Los Angeles, CA, John C. Bumgarner of Virginia Beach, Robert J. Lockridge of Vancouver, Canada, Erin L. Bumgarner of Virginia Beach, Lena B. Lockridge of Charlottesville and Richard V. Lockridge, Jr. of Lebanon and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, January 25, 2010 at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Corey Ingold officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends today, Sunday, from 2-4:00 pm at the church.
