Mamie Viar Holdren , 92, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Medical Care Center. Born in Riverville, Va. on November 26, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Matthew Viar and Rosa Ragland Viar and was the widow of William Terry Holdren, Sr.
Mrs. Holdren is survived by a son, William T. Holdren, Jr. of Lynchburg and two brothers, Charles E. Viar and William R. Viar both of Lynchburg.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. William Russell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 PM Wednesday at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel on Timberlake Rd.
