Obituary of Lovoria Bowers Kane

Lovoria Bowers Kane, age 85, left this earth for her heavenly home on February 5, 2024. She was the daughter of Vernoy and Vilena Bowers of Fries, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 64 years, R.B. Kane. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Vaughan, and husband Duane of Galax, Virginia, two sons, Rodney and wife Rhonda, and Barry and wife Cheryl, four granddaughters Nicole Dalton and Chad, Morgan Kane, Jessie Hemric and Brett, Holly Ballowe and Thomas, and seven great-grandchildren Logan, Jackson, Levi, Autumn, Audrey, Landon, and Colton. 

Lovoria loved her family, friends, and her church. She was a devoted member of Timberlake Baptist Church for 60 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher in the primary department and Awana. She worked at Timberlake Christian Nursery School for 36 years as a preschool teacher. 

The funeral will be Friday, February 9 at 2p.m. at Timberlake Baptist Church Ministry Center. There will be a family visitation on Thursday, February 8 from 5p.m.-7p.m at Diuguid Funeral Service. 21914 Timberlake Rd. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Timberlake Christian School, Timberlake Baptist Church, or Miller Home for Girls.
